Introducing SIMEI@drinktec

The SIMEI special exhibition will be on show at drinktec 2017 for the first time—on a total of 20,000 square meters of space in Halls C1 and C2. SIMEI has been organized by the Italian wine association UIV (Unione Italiana Vini Società Cooperative) since 1963, and it is now the world´s leading trade fair for wine technology. The event in 2015 attracted over 600 exhibitors and 31,000 trade visitors.

On show in this special exhibition area will be all kinds of machinery and systems for wine production and treatment, including the corresponding packaging. The integration of SIMEI into drinktec expands and rounds off the existing range of technology solutions offered for the wine industry at drinktec.

From 2017 onwards SIMEI will be held as part of drinktec in Munich every four years. It will retain its own two-year cycle, however, but its venue will be alternating between Italy and Munich.
