Christina Maier Introduces Herself

Whoever develops trade fairs feels like a host, at least that is exactly my feeling. At drinktec, we bring the whole world of the beverage and liquid food industry together for five days. The reason might be that I also enjoy being a host outside of the trade fair as I have been since 2007 when I switched to the trade fair business from a PR agency.

From the outset, I was in charge of drinktec and drink technology India, first in marketing and in the project team since 2012. The work for our Indian subsidiary event was a great and enriching experience for me. Despite this, my focus as Deputy Exhibition Director has been exclusively on drinktec in Munich since 2014

The exhibitors and visitors at the fair in 2013 returned home with enthusiasm and with new ideas. What more could you want as a trade fair developer?

We again want to scale new heights. We want to present our exhibitors and the industry with a firework of innovations and inspiring supporting events that provide a look into the future, ideas outside the box and in the flow of things. It will be a family gathering. A journey of discovery. Pure innovative strength. Experience new dimensions. That’s what it’s all about.

What else about this trade fair is special for me? The people! Equally likable and down-to-earth as well as an international and forward-looking industry. In addition, a team of exhibition specialists, with whom the work is fun and who consider themselves as a partner of the industry.

After all, trade fairs only run smoothly with teamwork, and a leading world trade fair such as drinktec can only succeed if it works hand-in-hand with industry. Therefore, I would like at this point to express a big thank you to all colleagues (worldwide) working for drinktec – and of course to our exhibitors, visitors and partners!

Now it is going to become exciting; it’s time to go full speed ahead, I am looking forward to the big meeting in 18 months, to drinktec 2017. Go with the flow!
